Why Kruphix, God of Horizons?
The main reason we chose Kruphix is he is a perfect mana bank, while he is on the field we not only have no maximum hand size but we also have a place to store all of our excess mana, combine this with any of our super strong mana rocks and mana doubling effects and we are able to have a ton of extra mana floating around! Kruphix is also able to protect himself quite easily, since he is often not a creature and is always indestructible. Kruphix is a commander that is not easy to get rid of, the main drawback of Kruphix is that when he leaves the battlefield with us the mana does as well!
Deck Overview:
This section contains information about cards in the deck and how they function within the deck! For explanations of the combos please refer to the “Main Win Conditions” section below!
Creatures:
We let our land drops and our artifact mana help us to cast our creatures so most of them are pretty huge! Some of the key creatures are Card not found which is basically a second copy of unwinding clock. For our big creatures Card not found is an Eldrazi Card not found and not that we need a ton of help to end games through combat but anything helps! We absolutely had to include Card not found, Card not found and Card not found as well as Card not found just one of these titans can easily end the game on their own but with all of our mana production we can easily cast multiple of these!
Another great creature is Card not found which is a great way to get more mana out of our artifacts, Kinnan is not only an infinite combo machine but a great way to get extra mana! Card not found is another huge creature that is great for exiling a key permanent from our opponents on cast. The last creature I want to highlight is Card not found who can be perfect to steal our opponents best creature and send them right back sideways!
Planeswalkers:
Card not found is pretty much only in the deck so we can get his passive discounts we dont often use his plus ability, but we do always use his minus as a great removal spell! Card not found is a devastating board wipe, a huge way put permanents on the board or just a great card to bolt an opponents creature or face. Ugin is super easy to cast in our deck and can be a devastating threat to our opponents!
Instants:
We are a blue deck so of course we have counterspells in the form of Card not found, Card not found and Card not found all of these are great ways to deal with opponents pesky permanents or spells! Cyclonic Rift is a commander classic and an amazing way to ruin our opponents board state. Card not found is a great removal spell that we can easily cast!
Sorceries:
We are a big mana deck so we of course have Card not found and Card not found as a cheap eficient way to get more mana! Card not found and Card not found are both great ways to deal with our opponents boards and often time not affect ours at all! Once we bank or make a ton of mana cards like Card not found or Card not found are both great mana outlets for when we have a ton and both of these spells are often game-ending if we have enough mana!
Artifacts:
Mana rocks galore! Card not found, Card not found and Card not found just to name a few. We are really focused on our artifact mana and there is an absolute ton of it! Card not found is by far the most broken card in our deck since all of the mana on Kruphix is in our mana pool and doubling cube will double that! Combine really any of our artifacts with Kruphix + Card not found which is deadly when it is on the field since the mana production gets out of hand so quickly!
Enchantments:
We have four enchantments that care about mana Card not found, Card not found, Card not found and Card not found. Exploration and Burgeoning are both crazy strong early with their effect truthfully getting worse as the game goes on but it is still very strong on the early turns. Card not found is not only a combo piece but an overall great card that makes all of our mana crazy perfect for banking. Zendikar Resurgent is very similar but also a great way to get some card draw going which we will never complain about!
Land Base:
We are a big mana deck so we have some big mana lands Card not found, Card not found and Card not found are all great lands that we can use to get out spells early! Other than that we have Card not found, Card not found and Card not found which when assembled is broken on its own especially when we combine that with Kruphix’s mana banking! Other than that our land base is comprised of wastes, islands, forests and Simic Duals!
Strengths of the Deck:
- Easy to cast huge creatures
- Decent draw / counterspell package
- Kruphix is a man machine
Weaknesses of the Deck:
- Weak to creature hate
- Weak to artifact hate
- Deck is noticeably weaker without multiple mana rocks, it runs a lot slower

Conclusion:
In conclusion Kruphix is the perfect leader of our big mana deck, being able to “save” our mana and bank it for later allows us to cast huge eldrazi often multiple in a turn! We are a ramp deck with the ability to interact with our opponents through counterspells combining that with the ability to cast huge creatures and produce a crazy amount of mana and we are a really strong deck!
