Todays Featured Commander Is:
Cybermat is here and ready to scout! We have been doing a ton of articles on the cyber cards from doctor who and how couldn’t we!? They are just so much fun. Let’s get to the facts Cybermat is constrained by being in colorless which definitely doesn’t make this deck super competitive, but what it lacks in competitiveness it makes up for in fun factor. This deck is absolutely perfect for a fun game or a more laid-back environment! While Cybermat is arguably the weakest of the bunch they are an absolute blast to play and who doesn’t love going for commander! As they say 16 is a lot less than 30 and with skulk and a built in buff we are in business! Cybermat is not only a funny looking guy but has a really cool effect as well, expect laughs when they see Cybermat but they won’t be laughing after a few swings! Without further adieu lets get it!

Why Cybermat?
Cybermat is the card that we are built-around in every way, pumping up our board with as many additional artifact creatures so we can skulk our way to victory! Skulk is super crazy and even though we do have some equipment buffs we rarely put them on Cybermat since we want all of that commander damage all of the time! This card is really powerful and an absolute blast to play! Not much more we could ask out of this little guy.
Deck Overview:
This section contains information about cards in the deck and how they function within the deck! As well as highlighting some of my favorite cards in the deck!
Creatures:
We are looking to put as many creatures on the board as we can and we have a bunch of cheap creatures like Alpha Myr
Artifacts:
This may be very shocking but we have a lot of artifacts! We of course have ramp and rocks like Thought Vessel
Instants:
Standing alone is Scour from Existence
Sorceries:
Introduction to Annihilation
Land Base:
We are a colorless deck, so as you would expect we are mostly comprised of Wastes
Strengths of the Deck:
- Easy to get commander damage kills
- Decent amount of card draw
- Can quickly overwhelm the board
Weaknesses of the Deck:
- Not a ton of spells / interaction
- Weak to aggressive decks
- Weak to control strategies / artifact hate
Deck Stats:
Sample Hands:
Main Win Conditions:
We have no infinite combos or loops in the deck. Our amin win condition is straight up attacking with our artifact creatures. Cybermat
Conclusion:
Cybermat is a just a funny fella who is coming to bring the pain! Cybermat is plagued by the narrowness that all decks that are exclusively colorless have, but it doesn’t make the deck any less fun or exciting. While this deck won’t be taking down the nearest competitive table it is still a ton of fun to play and a great card for a night with friends or jamming a game at your LGS, you will probably get some funny looks but that’s ok, this deck is an awesome break from the more tuned / powerful PDH lists we build. While Cybermat is casual it by no means is a pushover and can easily get wins sometimes at will! Thanks for reading to the end and thanks for your support!
