Sultai! A color combination that is one of my favorites, combining all of the removal and controlling aspects of black and blue and all of the support that green provides, this is a graveyard focused deck which makes perfect sense as Sultai lends itself very well to messing with and focusing on the graveyard, this deck has been a lot of fun to play and while it isn’t powerful as other graveyard-focused decks like Muldrotha, the Gravetide it is still a lot of fun and with some budget upgrades can turn into a real powerhouse! Without further ado, let’s get it!

Budget Upgrades for the Deck:
Add:
On TCGPlayer, copies of Six range from 5 to 7 dollars; some copies are a little cheaper, depending on the version.
Cut:
Six is a very strong card for our deck not only does it present retrace for non-land cards but it also gives some additional mill which can be extremely helpful when we are trying to fill up our graveyard, they are also a pretty decent creature to attack/block with while this doesn’t matter nearly as much as the other attributes its still strong, I cut Woe Strider because I don’t believe that it adds that much, while it can trigger their commander there is considerably better ways to do so.

On TCGPlayer, copies of Muldrotha, the Gravetide range from 2 to 10 dollars; some copies are a little cheaper, depending on the version.
Cut:
Well, let’s be real: our deck is not Muldrotha, but hey, at least we can play them! Being able to play Muldrotha allows us to take full advantage of our commander. While it is certainly a late-game card, it can have a huge impact and interacts very well with our commander. While Ob Nixilis is a good black card, I don’t think that it’s worth running as it doesn’t further our graveyard gameplan at all.
Add:
On TCGPlayer, copies of Prized Amalgam range from 1 to 2 dollars; some copies are a little cheaper, depending on the version.
Cut:
Prized Amalgam is a card that I’m surprised wasn’t already included, it works very well within the deck and cards like Reassembling Skeleton trigger this card a ton, whether we use it as a blocker that can always come back or as a card that we can sacrifice a ton this is a great way to do so. I cut Amphin Mutineer mostly because it doesn’t help a ton with gameplan, and we care far more about what we are doing as opposed to what our opponents are doing.
Add:
On TCGPlayer, copies of Kheru Goldkeeper range from 0.25 to 0.50 cents; some copies are a little cheaper, depending on the version.
Cut:
Kheru Goldkeeper is just a true graveyard-focused card and works extremely well within the deck. Being able to get some additional mana production is very nice, and they trigger our commander as well. Kheru is just an amazing card within our deck and works very well. I cut Floral Evoker because we have many better ways to do the same thing; it’s just not worth it.

We are a graveyard deck, we absolutely have to include the best namesake spell there is in reanimate. Not a ton to say about it. Reanimating our biggest and best creature is very good! I decided to cut Welcome the Dead because its slow and our deck isn’t built to pump a bunch of cards into the graveyard all in one turn, we do much better over multiple turns.
