Today’s Featured Commander Is:

Muldrotha is a really fun BUG commander that is the king of the graveyard / reanimator strategy, while Muldrotha does cost 8 we can pretty easily cast him and when he hits all eyes are going to be on you since you can reanimate a permanent of each type per turn! With this we can turbo fog, turbo counter some spells or just get some turbo value. Muldrotha is a real house of a card!

Why Muldrotha, The Gravetide?
Muldrotha is the real deal of reanimator since we can reanimate a permanent of each type during each of our turns. When combined with cards that sacrifice themselves we can very easily do that an absolute ton and generate so much value. This deck is really powerful and I would expect a lot of hate / removal coming your way once you sit down with this! The beauty of Muldrotha is that unless our opponent exile our cards they pretty much are always coming back!
Deck Overview:
This section contains information about cards in the deck, for a full breakdown of the combos of the deck please check out the main win conditions section below!
Creatures:
Our creature package is full of some small creatures that have big effects on the gameplan. Birds of Paradise
Siren Stormtamer
Bloom Tender
Dryad of the Ilysian Grove
Our top end curve has a bunch of commander menaces including Sheoldred, the Apocalypse
Planeswalkers:
We only have one planeswalker but they serve an important role in the deck Ashiok, Dream Render
Instants:
We are a blue deck so of course we have counterspells! Now we don’t have a ton but we do have some of the staples like Counterspell
Assassin's Trophy
Sorceries:
Our sorcery package has two sweet tutors in Diabolic Intent
Damnation
Buried Alive
Artifacts:
Even though we are in BUG we don’t tend to draw a ton of cards, but of course we have an answer for that in The One Ring
Altar of Dementia
Enchantments:
As we talked about above we don’t draw a ton of cards and since we are in blue we of course have to have Mystic Remora
Dictate of Erebos
Land Base:
Our land base has a ton of nonbasics consisting mostly of BUG dual lands but we do have some special lands that are worth highlighting like Strip Mine
We are a three color deck so we of course have Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth
Since we can recur lands we also have a bunch of the kamigawa channel lands like Otawara, Soaring City
Strengths of the Deck:
- Reanimation can only be stopped by exile effects
- Easy to recur fog and counter effects to continuously protect ourselves
- Combo kills are easy to assemble, and we can end games quickly
Weaknesses of the Deck:
- Weak to graveyard hate
- Deck is noticeably weaker without Muldrotha
- Not a ton of interaction
