Todays Featured Commander Is:
Yenna is a really sweet brand new Selesyna commander that is so much fun for all of the enchantment lovers out there! We built Yenna as an aura / voltron build focusing on copying or key auras for big damage and commander damage kills! This deck is so much fun to play and a damage machine, we are able to tow the line between a general enchantment deck and an aura focused deck. This deck is the real deal and a ton of fun to play. Without further Aideu lets get it!

Why Yenna, Redtooth Regent?
The main reason that we chose Yenna is how well she interacts with auras and just enchantments in general, why only have one copy of an enchantment when we can have a second! In addition to that Yenna gets the additional benefit of untapping and scrying 2 if it as an aura letting us increase our damage exponentially and untap her! Yenna is a real deal enchantment commander and is a ton of fun to play!
Deck Overview:
This section contains information about cards in the deck and how they function within the deck! For explanations of the combos please refer to the “Main Win Conditions” section below!
Creatures:
Our creature package is full of really strong creatures and some super sweet enchantment based payoffs! Argothian Enchantress, Satyr Enchanter and Sythis, Harvest's Hand are all great creatures that can come down really early and draw us a bunch of cards! We also have some creatures that are alternate Voltron options if we decide that buffing up Yenna is not worth it. Light-Paws, Emperor's Voice, Aura Gnarlid and Kor Spiritdancer are all super viable options for Voltron targets and combined with Yenna’s ability these can become out of hand really quickly! One of my favorite creatures in the deck is Umbra Mystic who makes single target removal really weak against us! Another card that can end the game really quickly is Nylea's Colossus buffing one of our Voltron creatures can end the game super quickly!
Planeswalkers:
We only have one planeswalker but they are pretty sweet in Calix, Destiny's Hand who is the perfect planeswalker for enchantments! Calix’s plus allows us to look at the top four and get an enchantment can be perfect when we are looking for key enchantments! Calix’s -3 can be a pretty crazy removal spell that keeps permanents away for a long time! Lastly Calix’s ult allows us to get everything back, perfect after a big board wipe or targeted enchantment hate!
Instants:
Enlightened Tutor and Worldly Tutor are both really great ways to cycle through the deck and grab combo pieces or key pieces to close out the game, besides creature-based these are the only tutors in our deck! Generous Gift, Path to Exile and Swords to Plowshares are all key parts of our removal package and can be good to deal with a variety of threats mostly creatures! Flawless Maneuver is a great almost always free way to protect our board!
Sorceries:
We are a Selesyna deck so of course we have some ramp in the form of Cultivate and Kodama's Reach we dont have a ton of huge mana stuff in the deck but more ramp is never bad! Replenish and Brilliant Restoration are both great ways to recur our board after a board wipe and are just great ways to get key enchantments back! Our best sorcery in the deck is Finale of Devastation this card with infinite mana is game over, this card even with a decent amount of mana is a great way for us to end the game super quickly!
Artifacts:
Our artifact package is pretty much all mana with Selesnya Signet
Enchantments:
For our enchantment package I want to highlight the enchantments that are the best to copy, Ancestral Mask
Land Base:
Our land base has the best of for the Selesyna Lands, fetches like Windswept Heath
Strengths of the Deck:
- Recursion makes us not weak to enchantment hate
- Yenna is a damage and value machine
- Decent amount of interaction / combo potential
Weaknesses of the Deck:
- Weak to creature hate
- Deck is weaker without Yenna activations
- Weak to Control / Spellslinger Style decks, as we cant really interact with them
